About Us
After a successful first event in 2009 we formed a Charitable Trust which is registered with the Charities Commission. We are a not for profit organisation with all funds raised being put back in to meeting the aims and objectives of the Trust.
Our aims are that Nelson Growables will be an event where people:
- Share knowledge in gardening, producing food and propagating plants
- Get empowered to grow their own food and eat well
- Can see a showcase cooking from different cultures
- Charities, schools and clubs can run stalls to raise funds through sale of things they have grown
We also work with other organisations who share our aims, and apply for funding from local and regional sources to help meet the costs of running the fair.
